A Perfect Peach
Very unexpected and much to my surprise
the prettiest peach I ever saw caught my eye.
I had no idea I even wanted to purchase a peach that day,
I just wanted to get on the train and end the day.
I felt so compelled to stop at the little fruit stand --
and buy that perfect peach before the train ran.
Finally getting boarded on that train on time,
it was now that I could enjoy that peach of mine.
Lifting up that peach to take a bite,
I could smell the sweet scent of that perfect delight.
Never before or since that time, has a peach made me
as giddy as wine, making me feel so sublime.
