Daily Routine
Daily Routine
I get up in the morning
At the break of dawn
Take my morning shower
Then put my work clothes on
I fix a meal of breakfast
Bacon, eggs and toast
Drink my cup of coffee
The thing I enjoy most
I start up my jalopy
And hope that it will run
I open up the garage door
I see the morning sun
Another day's beginning
I drive on down the street
I feel like something's missing
I slip back in my seat
Driving down the highway
Like everybody else
Stuck in this slow traffic
I want to scream for help
It's then that I remember
I feel just like a jerk
I'm doing this for nothing
‘Cause I am now retired
