My Prayer (Thoughts)
As I lay me down in bed
I pray the Lord to clear my head.
Help to stop upsetting thoughts
the type that ties me up in knots.
Thoughts of sadness, thoughts of fear
thoughts that are unwanted here.
Thoughts of lust and thoughts of hate
thoughts of suicide, what's my fate?
The thoughts that bring sadness inside
help me to overcome and abide.
Heavenly Father please hear my prayer
my upsetting thoughts, I know you care.
