Halloween? Halloween? Hallow Means Holy ~^~Hallow Means Holy~^~ "John 8:32 and 1 John 1:6-7" I asked the Holy Spirit for in this poem to guide me In praying he whispered; that ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free I was led to seek in the bible dictionary Truly a wink from God for to give clarity The word "Hallow" means to set apart for holy use, To make holy,as in Luke 11:2 ...Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy name This is to bring honour to Him and proclaim How much honour do you give Him? If you choose to celebrate like the pagans Halloween is a pagan festival Not a holiday, for it's roots are evil Time after time God warns against evil For us to give no place to the devil The devil is a liar ! Do not be deceived Let God's word manifest to all who believe In earlier years even I was blind But year by year He renews my mind Even earlier poems against halloween Doesn't reflect the passion now inside me Praise, Honor, and Glory.... "Hallowed" is for the Father whom is worthy I previously had wrote "Strangers Candy" And..."Halloween Is Not My Thing" However ; with new awareness This poem is to bring Glory to My King! Oct. 18,2007 By; Pastor Linda Begley "To God Be The Glory" forever! Just this morning, Oct. 31,2007 I prayed in re; of all the different ways that even Christians are trying to turn around Halloween for the glory of God and the Holy Spirit reminded me of the Root being evil ,therefore it cannot be in no way made good. Then guided me to Isaiah 5:20-24 20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight! 22 Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink: 23 Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him! 24 Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel. 1 John 1:5-7 5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. John 8:32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Hold on to the good. Avoid every kind of evil. [1 Thessalonians 5:21-22] Who can deny that virtually all of the symbols of Halloween are evil? Witches, monsters, ogres, vampires, ghosts, ghouls, goblins, devils and demons all portray evil. Christians are to "... have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them." [Ephesians 5:11] It is also among the signs of the last days that many will depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons (I Tim. 4:1).
