How Much More Can We Take?
How Much More Can We Take?

Somber is the mood
As silence fills the room
Another senseless killing
Another used up tomb
A eulogy is spoken
As tears fill up their eyes
Too many hearts broken
Forever we hear cries

How much more can we take?
What difference will it make?
How many more have to die?
How many can we justify?
This world that we live in
Seems filled with so much sin
Another life is taken
Too many hearts are shaken

A mother has gone missing
Three children left behind
Authorities go searching
In hopes that they will find
But as the days go by
All hope seems to diminish
And as we all ask why
Another life is finished

How much more can we take?
What difference will it make?
How many more have to die?
How many can we justify?
This world that we live in
Seems filled with so much sin
Another life is taken
Too many hearts are shaken

Somber is the mood
As silence fills the room
Another senseless killing
Another used up tomb
