Hatred
Is an ugly sin
I try to do it
But I just can't begin
Perhaps
I'm gullible
And easily fobbed
Though what splendid opportunities
I would have been robbed
I'm not an easy touch
Or naïve in any way
My trust in mankind
Is what carries my day
No point in troubling
Dispose of fretful traumas
Discover how to relinquish and
Place happiness before us
Too much energy can be lost
In hanging on to baggage from past
Releasing and letting go
Is a much more fruitful task
At the end of my day
I draw a line under upheaval
In the morrow attempt
To make goodness my retrieval
