 Contentment

My friend, God did not guarantee
Your life would be problem free
Contentment is Jesus in your heart
Not based on feelings on your part

You may think that God has left you
When you don't see a way through
If you know Him as Savior and guide
He will always be with you to abide

There are unresolved emotions within
Causing you to be trapped in your sin
Fear keeps you from going back to God
Will He forgive you on the path you trod?

If you fail Him again, what will He do?
What if He decides to give up on you?
All these thoughts go through your head
You wonder if you will ever get ahead

Realize that you decided to go astray
By trying to do things your own way
Satan will fill your mind with doubt
Put your trust in God to work it out

Don't wait for your situation to improve
Rely on God to direct your every move
Say a little prayer, asking Him to forgive
You will have new hope in the life you live

Learn not to focus on your circumstance
With God, there is more than one chance
Grow closer to God through your trial
Don't be controlled by fear and denial

Philippians 4:10-11 (NIV)
I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have renewed
your concern for me. Indeed, you have been concerned,
but you had no opportunity to show it. 11 I am not saying
this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content
whatever the circumstances.
