Off in the distance is
a painted dream,
waiting to come to life
so real it may seem,
When I close my eyes I
see the colors of life,
I'm not a child, a mother
nor am I a wife,
Though I see them things
flickering in the light,
Painted dreams rush in my
mind in the middle of the
night.
They are secrets of my
unconscious mind,
Locked away so nobody
else will be able to find,
My thoughts lead me to
places I don't recognize,
And it happens whenever
I close my eyes,
I am strong, I can do anything
Within my passion,
I am a queen, I am a model
Of high priced fashion,
I am important in this painted
Dream of mine,
Everyone knows my name,
And with important people I dine.
And in the distance I fade out of
My painted dream,
And wait for the night to come
So I can dance on another moonbeam.
