MY LOVE WAITS
In placing a white candle on my window sill
I'm hoping the night will shine a beacon
And you will find your way home to me
Travel safely along life's grainy road
Rutted by fellow feet
With heavy bags of burden
And see the flickering torch
If you upon a rivulet of tears,
Then it guides your path
To my beating heart
I will light the warm wax daily
When the sun backs down to the day
And hides behind the trees on the hill
Come home, my sweetness
And let me love you again
