Walking through a forest damp
After the rain does fall~
With the fragrance of the dripping pines
When rays of sunshine how they call ~
But then again in forest silence
Magic seems to then take place~
Little entities come out to play
And almost invisible they do so with grace~
Little sunshine flashes of colored rays
They beam as one walks among the trees~
And one thinks there are just moths about
As they float and fly as if on breeze~
Now you see then them you do not
Here they are and now gone again~
Diamonds of light Flying into and out of sight
When the sun comes out after rain~
Some might think they are butterflies
Or simply smallest rays of light~
But if one could freeze them were they are
They might just find little entities in flight~
A different entire dimension would they be
As they fly upon their way~
Doing all the things they come to do
As they fly in work and in play~
Smallest things of beauty and of life
We think that they just could not be~
But there well could be so and we just don't know
As they do what they do amongst the forest tree~
Could be all sorts of them about
Some who fly and those who do not~
Keeping out of sight best they can
But they'v not to worry a real lot~
For humans they don't believe in them
And feel they are not there~
So mostly they can fly and be the way they are
Amongst the pine trees and purest air~
Little flashes in the corner of the eye
Rays of light just flying by~
Little Twinkles in amongst the trees
When sun comes out and rain clouds leave the sky~
In and around the mossy rocks and ferns
Under fallen leaves and needles carpet there~
Little entities all over the place
To show their faces they would not dare~
A whole world and existence of their own
You can't ever say for sure~
Just because you'v never seen them
Maybe you should look for them even more~
There are all sorts of give aways
Signs to where they'v been~
As they flutter by and all about
Feeling they'll never be seen~
And little rays of flashing light
Amongst the forest trees~
Diamonds of sparkles as one walks
In and amongst the forest trees~
