Scary night Scary night
Ghosts and goblins
Black cat fright
Clouds across the moon
Shrieks and screams
Absent night tune
Anticipation of what or whom
Minutes turn to hours
Dreary and distant doom
Just look see
Lurking, carrying on
Don't let them get me
My bloodshot eyes
At the stroke of 12
Blood curdling cries
Crawling, I feel pain
Something wet
HEELP HELPP is my refrain
Open your eyes papa
She laughs and giggles
Was it a bad dream papa?
Sitting up, I rub my eyes
Look into her 2 yr old face
It was a dream I realize
