 Take His Hand

Take His Hand

Looking back at the mistakes that I made
When I was young I had it made in the shade
Times were fun and I lived fancy-free
The mistakes I made never worried me

Life was fast and I took many chances
I didn't care about my so-called finances
I had to learn about this thing we call life
I lived all day and then I partied all night

But then things changed and I got a clue
I saw the world through another view
I realize now how lucky I had been
I lost control and I lacked discipline

I started using all my common sense
Some things I did; I paid the consequence
I thank the Lord for having faith in me
Opened my eyes so I could finally see

Those days are gone; distant memories
I found out life has no guarantees
Except for one but you must believe
Eternal life is yours to receive

Christ came to earth; a newborn child
To save us from the sinful wild
He gave His life so that we may live
God promised us that He would forgive

No matter where you are in this life
Just turn around and follow Christ
He'll lead you to the Promised Land
Just get on board and take His hand
