Always Hope
To everyone I am a joke,
With every word I ever spoke;
They never stop making fun of me,
No matter just how much I may plea.
Happiness is a thing of the past;
The joy not remembering the last;
For I can no longer find the peace,
Painful agony starts to increase.
I tell myself that I am not done,
Since I know that God gave us His Son;
For He died to make us free of sin,
But I think of my troubles within.
I feel depressed wandering alone,
Although I am never on my own;
It makes me miserable each day,
Wondering how to trust and obey.
Then I remember something of hope,
That always fills me ways to cope;
Of the kindness of God never fails,
When aboard His ship as it set sails.
