I found salvation walking down the forest track
I knew nature would bring myself back
I was kicking leaves and breaking twigs
And scowling at the pesky little kids
The collection of grey clouds that hung above me
Seemed to reflect my attitude recently
But when I turned the corner of the forest path
I saw two robins fighting over a worm, and it made me laugh
I saw a squirrel drop his nuts and hit his friend on the head
A smile appeared on my face and how that smile soon spread
Further down the path, which is adjacent to the lake
My senses were enlightened. Nothing was fake
The sounds of the buzzing dragonfly
Caught my attention, from the corner of my eye
It's turquoise tail and black green striped body
Danced up and down before settling on the water Lilly
It was as though everything that society had created had been taken away
And all I saw was nature in a totally different way
The lillypad floated on the crystal clear water and life beamed everywhere
And all I could do was stare and stare
The dragonfly hovered above its white fauna
As a fish splashed within the water
That interrupted the Frog that was camouflaged somewhere
I guess it was a moment that you had to be there?
Now you might think I am completely crazy and mad?
But I felt part of the forest, the lake and the life surrounding the lillyPad
And I thought that man is such a complicated and sensitive creature
But such flaws in man are made up by the beauty of nature.
