Erica's SongIn Bracken County was a quiet town. No crime in the streets for miles around. Everyone knew each other, or so they thought. Til found one morning her empty car no sign of struggle , her keys not far. The officers came and looked around No sign of Erica to be found They searched the lake and fields near by Soon all gave a lonely sigh For not a clue that day was found although they had searched all around. The search went on for weeks in vain The family's heart still filled with pain. Every farmer friend and foe looked for places she would go. Gone was the girl she use to be everyone said it was a mystery. But someone knows and you know who has to live with the memory too. Although you think that we've forgot We live our life's as though we've not. For Erica this song will say Someone will pay on judgement day. Judy Lindsey revised 5/18/2005 Vote for this poem
