The Power of Christ
We question ourselves each day,
Just how we should trust and obey;
And whether or not we succeed,
By merely doing a good deed.
But there is something we must tell,
Chances are we will burn in Hell;
And never to be raised from death,
After have taken our last breath.
For it is yourself you deceive,
If you do not firmly believe;
That Jesus Christ died for your sins,
Of a chance your new life begins.
Putting Christ to death on a tree,
Shown in shame for the world to see;
But God raised Him to life again,
Regenerating new life to begin.
Only Christ has power to save,
You and I from the earthly grave;
He is the only one on earth,
Able to be giving rebirth.
