HALF A MOON
Blissfully unaware
Then I realised I was being spied upon
There, glinting brightly
In the corner of my window
Was half a moon
The sky was already deepening
Preparing for nightfall
And I was transfixed
My book lost all interest
As I sat gazing upward
I'm sure I could actually see it moving
Across the sky
Unblinking,
I watched my dreams float by
Will they be granted
Time will tell
