The Elements of Life
O Time,
Why are you pouring sand out my eyes?
O Sin,
Why do you scatter my cries...
like the east wind?
Life's hard put I pretend
I try to fight it but the heat
got me on the run,
being chased by the rays of the sun
And life keeps gripping and time keeps slipping
slipping away
as the wind tosses me around like hay
upon the land
I would cry...
but I'm a man
O, there's nothing wrong...
just got something in my eye
And strong songs keep passing by
in the dark night,
Praying for the daylight
