Ethereal Moments The Poetry of Donavon Scott Vinson
Disillusionment
Deep, dark and cruel is my night,
fraught with horrors and psychosis.
Fear plagues my trembling soul,
terrible disillusionment clouds my heart.
Waves of utter hopelessness fill my mind,
til I can stand it no more.
From far away in the deepest recesses of
existence the eerie, dispassionate voices
of Hell soothingly call out to me in my pain.
Telling me to not fear the afterlife,
for all will be better after I take my life.
Donavon Scott Vinson
This is a poem about suicide, and the disillusionment
that brings us to the point of taking one's own life
out of hopelessness and utter despair.
