OH YES YOU AREYou are the lettuce in my sandwich My vegetables in vegetable soup You are pink strawberry ice cream And I need at least three scoops You are the ink that runs through my pen Words flow when I think of your face You are the book that I write Stories to astound and amaze You are the air that I breathe Intoxicating and sweet like fine wine You are the universe Stars hurtle around you as they climb You are the cool water that I sip I need you to live and survive You are the maker of glistening honey An inhabitant of my combed hive You are my playground toy Perching on the other end of my see-saw You are the one that balances me And keeps me stable and grounded to the floor You are my true sweetheart You provide me with all I need You are absolutely everything to me And I'm keeping you to myself, pure greed!
