Faces

Have seen many faces
They are burned within my mind
Very few full of goodness
Most were so unkind

Seen many tears fall from them
Stained with hopelessness and fear
Dazed looks
Are still very clear

Some were appealing to look at
Some were more then I could bear
Some brought me serenity
Some gave such a scare

Disillusioned looks
Lonely and lost
Obscured smiles
All had their cost
