She rides the horse of a carousel
Bare-back and static reins
Sometimes it feels the ride of her life
Others, she is tied by restraints
Ever decreasing circles
As round and around she goes
A simplified version of everyday world
Caught in a moment that froze
A girl she returns of innocent past
When everything was a toy to play
Unfortunately, being grown up took her in hand
Though secretly she wanted to stay
No thoughts did she need as she rode the beast
Mane blowing and the wind at its hoof
Happy ever after days were always there
Then she got hit by the truth
A world where living isn't so easy
Fences and hurdles that leap out from nowhere
We find whether we are brave or a coward
Let's see if we can ride it out with flair
