(dedicated to the bond daughters have
with their fathers if they're lucky enough)
When she was just a baby
onto you she hung so tight,
than she started to crawl
into everything day and night.
The day came for her first step
you felt a lump inside,
her tiny feet one in front of the other
couldn't hold back the tears though you tried.
For you knew one day she would
walk out the door into the arms of other men,
you can't keep them little forever
so keep holding tight till then.
Although you never lose that bond
between a daughter and her dad,
there'll still be other men in her life
but for now you're the only one so let your heart be glad!
