Xmas Eve…Christmas eve and all's not well, Me head is sore and me feet are hell. Me back is achin', me feet are cold, The kids refuse to do as they're told! I'm so fed up, its far too late, I wana go home...but we're havin a debate! Fifteen minutes to closing time, When the shops are shut...I'll be fine! I wana go home, and rest me head... Put on me jim jams and get to bed. But I'm cookin a turkey, in the oven, And I'm sure as hell...not feelin' lovin'! The kids are drivin' me quite mad, And the christmas tree's lookin' really sad! Home at last, hip, hip hurah, I've had a really lousey day! I'll feed the kids, and send them to bed, Have a cuppa and rest me head! When they're asleep, once more I'll become... Father christmas, another job done! I'll not get to bed, till 2am... And at 3 o'clock, I'll be up again! Christmas day, once more will arrive, Can I cope, will I survive? Yes I will, because you see, All of the presents are under the tree! Christmas day is over again, And I just can-not take the strain. I'm gettin ' too old for all this hype, All's I want is me slippers and pipe! Me missus say's that bein' a wife, Is the hardest job there is in life! So I'll not nag or moan anymore, For now I truly know the score! Next christmas I'm leavin' it all to the wife, I'll just cook the turkey...it's a lot less strife!
