Heart Of The Matter
Awesome Place To Write
A far cry from the urban life,
A place to hide away,
A cabin in the mountains,
Alone in misty grey,
There is stillness on the waters,
A place where peace be found,
All is warmth, within these walls,
There is silence all around,
A table by the window,
A lamp to bring me light,
My creature comforts catered for,
An awesome place to write,
Vision dimmed by early darkness,
Night comes round too soon,
Surrounded by the mountains,
And no sign of the moon,
I am quiet; I'm out of season,
There's no place, I'd rather be,
In a cabin in the mountains,
No need for company.
Fatigue hangs heavy on my eyes,
Shutters closed, turn out the light,
All quiet, all out of season,
An awesome place to write.
