The sky's gray as clouds slide in,
Santa's helpers work to reach the end.
Dolls dancing and shaking their heads,
sleds need another coast of bright red.
Balls bounce as they're tossed into bins,
colorful tops spin around again and again.
Rocking horses set in the background,
their smiles appear more like a frown.
Ms. Santa hums and sings a cheerful song,
makes sure everything's on time...nothing's wrong.
Santa sits in a corner wearing suspenders of black,
painting wagons, ending them in a final shellac.
Elves skip and dance to the Christmas tunes,
putting finishing touches on playhouse rooms.
Barbie and Ken stand in a staring stance,
birds tweet and screech at every glance.
Toy soldiers salute and prance back and forth,
Ms. Santa yells, "Take them out to the back porch!"
An elf grins and places them in a toy box,
yelling, "Hey, this one doesn't have on any socks.
Santa yells, "We need a miracle to get this job done,
or children cannot play and have their fun.
Hurry up my helpers, time is running out,
we've never been late, causing children to pout.
Ms. Santa utters, "Cheer up helpers and Santa too,
snow is upcoming...we'll soon get the job through."
An elf mocks Ms. Santa and dances around,
shaking his booty...jumping up and down.
Santa yells, "It's time to get the reindeers all geared up,
they got to look nice in case children peek out at us.
Lets get this sleigh packed and loaded to the brim,
there's not a house we can omit...not one my friends."
Ms. Santa yells, "It's all ready...come lets have fun,
come drink hot chocolate and eat cinnamon buns.
It's time to enjoy ourselves...lets mingle and play,
when Santa returns, you'll get your well earned pay."
"Keep a song in your hearts and give thanks for this year,
lets send Santa off with lots of love and warm cheer.
A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all...
it's Jesus` birthday we're celebrating lets have a ball!"
