PROMISES YOU KEEP

you say promises you keep,
How many have you forsake
From you I have heard,
Your bond is your word.

As good as money in the bank,
Is that what you really think?
The promises of which you speak
Has made a lot of people wept.

From words you have spoken,
Many hearts have been broken.
For the lies you have told,
Has, turned many heart cold.

When will the truth be known to you?
When will your words be true?
When will your nightmare end,
And your dream of love begin?

Are your promises really worth,
Each one's hurt and pain?
Your child that you love the most,
Is he the one that must pay the cost?
