Heart Of The Matter
I'm Listening
I'm listening to the Beatles,
Songs from way back when,
The days of Beatlemania,
We'll never see again.
I must confess I loved them,
Each and every one,
I never got to see them live,
Because; I was so young.
But every record they released,
I bought with pocket money,
And I recall in sixty five,
They sang a taste of honey,
And I was only nine years old,
When I saw them on TV,
I sat in silent rapture,
A vivid memory.
Those days are gone forever,
But the memories linger on,
I'm listening to the Beatles,
When they still had,
George and John.
