INSTEAD OF PAIN


Feeling hurt
Thinking of pain
That flirts
With this heart insane

Pumping on of course
Strong enough to live
Tells you 'till you're hoarse
Only one will give

One in fantasy
Where no tears fall down
Not reality
Where a sea of them are bound

Up behind these eyes
Shining stoically
Where your truth that flys
Sets a good love free

Someday you will miss
Sensuality and caring
One night gifts of bliss
Then the next no sharing

Take it this way if you must
Resentments fester weeping sore
Each time all is lost is trust
Along with reverence evermore

So sleep alone
Please stay in your place
Turned off the phone
Forgot your face.
