Accused
Have you been
innocently
accused?
no way to defend,
all alone,
stressed, hurt,
no voice,
bad people
playing you,
using their power
for evil,
rug pulled
from under you,
kicked in the gut
when you were
smelling a flower,
minding your own,
living your life
and trouble comes
knocking,
have you been
innocently
accused?
doubted by people
with glass houses,
looked down on
by people lacking
integrity, soul,
be careful friend
every step you take
their are those who
thrive on inflicting
hurt and pain,
but what they will never know
is kindness has wings, what
you dish out will soon
be on your plate, that integrity
always finds the light,
that a poem
can heal a pained heart,
fight for the underdog,
that a pen is
mightier
than the sword
and that art:
is a family
of relentless bond,
we're home here.
