 It Only Takes A Moment...
A little baby asleep in her carseat
in the backseat she should be fine,
The mom run's into the store for a
drink and had to wait in line.

The mom tells the policeman that she
was only in the store for a moment,
She didn't know that the temperture
would rise, the child would die with
no vent.

A mom and her son went to the park
to play on the swing and the slide,
They didn't know that a bad guy
behind the bushes would hide.

The mom figured it would be safe to
close her eyes and hum a song,
And when she opened them she noticed
her son was gone.

A proud daddy got his teenage son
his first car, handed him the keys,
Didn't teach him not to drink and drive,
Now the Dad's praying while on his knees.

It only takes a moment for a life to change,
Forever thinking back to what might have been,
One breath taken, one breath gone,
One last chance to be seen again.
