Beautiful Disaster

Won't You Call Me Baby

I stare at him
From across the room
Waiting for our eyes
To finally meet
But when they meet
I'm overwhelmed and
Embarrassed
So I look away
But not for long before
My eyes are fixed back
Upon him
And I wonder if
He can see the pain
In my eyes
Of a broken heart
From crushing lies
And I wonder
If he would ever pursue me
And I wonder
If I could ever be his baby.
He seems so different
From the crowd
He is an individual
And proud
With anything he says
He can make me smile
And he is in love with
Being a live
An inspiration I need
And I wonder if
He can see the pain
In my eyes
Of a broken heart
From crushing lies
And I wonder
If he would ever pursue me
And I wonder
If I could ever be his baby.
He doesn't see me
As I am
If he sees me at all
He doesn't know
Who I am
He doesn't care much
About me
No one really does
He's willing to listen
But he's not really there
He zones out
And I lose him
And I wonder if
He can see the pain
In my eyes
Of a broken heart
From crushing lies
And I wonder
If he would ever pursue me
And I wonder
If I could ever be his baby.
I know I can never be his baby
But every once in a while
Its nice to wonder...
