HE    SPOKE    TO    ME

He spoke to me in a dream
And His words flowered down on me
Petals covering my worried mind

A peaceful feeling flowed through me
Washing me free from anxiety
Leaving me serene

His smile bathed me in a glow
That healed my heart and
Stroked this tender soul

For I see the same vision
The same person
In a recurring drama

And that person is me
Alone

He spoke to me in the dream
And told me to fret not
That I shall find a special someone

This person is merely steps away,
Perhaps around the next corner of life,
And soon our paths will collide

He spoke to me
And told me not to hurry my journey
But to falter occasionally
And take a look at my route

To see happiness along my way
To brush against sadness
To feel the warmth of a smile

To feel blessed to be alive
