Poetry For Everyday People

Life

Smoke
fog
dancing
and I have to
see through

I feel a clear
I knock
on the verge
of distance

in my mind
I threw
a six pack of Guinness
on the mountain top
and it sits in the snow
cold, waiting

forty one
and life's eating me
faster than I can eat it

as I try to expand glimpses
of hope
into a life time

studying passion

for societies shackles
come
in an assuming death

and a perfectly sound
cold six pack of Guinness
sits waiting
on a snowy mountain top

who knows what else
I'll find there
away from the norm
away from the reaches
away from programed evaluations

life here now
I wanna breath
beyond breathing

I wanna feel the rush
of aliveness
the rush of feeling's edge
the rush of beating the odds
the rush of finding
what can't be lost.
