This is an invite for you to walk in my shoes
I want to know if you too will feel the blues,
You don`t have to stay very long a day maybe
I want to know if you feel as confused as me.
You may not know if you`re coming or going
Or even know which way the wind is blowing,
I`m sorry it won`t be a smooth path that you take
Along the way you may find a lot of heartache.
Take care of your feet as you walk in these shoes
For the soles are thin and you may get a bruise,
The paths I`ve walked are stony and sometimes steep
With twists and turns that will make you want to weep.
You`ll walk through emotions like never felt before
You`ll not want to return to get some more,
The journey you take will be heartbreaking at times
Maybe a downward slope you`ll encounter sometimes.
Put yourself in my place to see how it feels
I can`t see it holding many appeals
