Christmas Love
*~*~*
Can't this heart so stayed on Thee
Reject these so-sad memories?
Should every year, these burdens bare,
While around me swirls a world so fair?
*~*~*
Can I not learn the lessons taught
At Jesus' feet, who's Love has bought
My soul into eternal life?
Why must I bear this constant strife?
*~*~*
The answer is found in Chapter Thirteen
Of Corinthians, speaking 'Love Supreme',
That Love will help me~~~let it go~~~
This yearly burden for I know
*~*~*
Only Love can calm this restless heart,
And draw it from the world apart,
And bring that heart to Bethlehem's stable
To the manger used as a cradle.
*~*~*
To find, for myself, this Prince of Peace.
At last, these memories will cease!
Leaving me with just one great desire:
More Christmas blessings to inspire.
*~*~*
For Love was given, unconditionally,
And Love is Eternal, oh, don't you see?
Love will ~~FOREVER~~follow you.
Makes it Christmas the whole year through.
*~*~*
