God's Scribe Poetry Selections

Hopes

Hopes hang on
Like a web to a spider,
Clinging to life
As they turn all things brighter.

Hiding in corners
Beneath the dirt of life
Carried in on trampled souls
Under such tremendous strife.

In the darkest of times
It sneaks in unobserved
To bring life to the wounded solider
Whether or not it's deserved.

But like a bug at times it seems
We squash away our hopes again
But, like the falling rain
More is always coming to defend.
