To Wake Up Is Such A Crime

I saw you in my dreams last night
Your hair of gold blowing in the wind
You were such a beautiful sight
Could smell the fragrance from your skin

Running bare foot through the open field
Dancing amongst the wild flowing flowers
Your love for me is finally revealed
Every minute of every passing hour

Whenever I look deep into your eyes
Your eyes sparkle from the light of the sun
I touch you; and its then I realize
That our two souls have now become one

Your mind is mine and mine is yours
There are no secrets to be hid
We give in and we follow the course
As we both decide to begin

We feel the air brushing our skin
As we dance to the songs of mockingbirds
You look at me and with a grin
You whisper to me the most beautiful words

You tell me you love me with all of your heart
And the love we have will never end
This picture we paint is a work of art
I treasure every moment that we spend

The bell rings and it's time to wake up
I hold you for the very last time
The time that we had was never enough
To wake up is such a crime
