Let's Be Friends
Let's be friends; heard those words?
Did they make you feel really hurt?
I've had friends and I've been loved.
I've also, been pushed and shoved.
Let's be clear,
My friends are still here.
On the other hand, not my loved.
He's the one who pushed and shoved.
I've had a good friend for years.
He sometimes caused me tears,
But him I'm still fond of.
Not so with my loved.
I remember good things, I always can,
when I think of my friend-man.
I hear his jokes and see his smile,
it makes me happy for a while.
Not so with my loved.
Who likes to be pushed and shoved?
So, I say to you, let's be friends.
Maybe it won't ever end.
