My Mom just left for Heaven; at last she has no pain
The Angels took her with them, Heaven, hers to gain
Her body was all tired and sore, her eyes had closed for good
I asked God to take her, as peaceful as he could
She left this world for Paradise, with her children by her side
She now is up in Heaven, with Jesus to reside
Today she holds my brother, He died soon after birth
In Heaven she will cuddle him, enjoy his tiny mirth
She will see her Mom and Dad; they died when she was young
I can just imagine, all the friends she is among
We all will miss our Mommy, and for her we cry
We all Love our Jesus, so we'll be there by and by
Our Daddy is still with us, we ask your prayers for him
As life without her by his side, must now begin
They Married on her Birthday, December 14,1949
Raised four Kids, cows and sheep, made us tow the line
They gave us all to Jesus, when we were very young
So someday up in Heaven, our family will be one
Thanks to all the Caregivers who helped her through her strife
To all our friends and family, who always shared our life
We'll see you later Mommy, in the Great Beyond
At your Heavenly Mansion, with a big fish pond.

Author's Comments: MY Mom went to heaven December 30, 2005.
I wrote this poem that day and shared it at her funeral.
I am reflecting and thinking about her and cherishing my Daddy
who is still with us.
If your Mom is still alive, tell her you love her.
That will bless her Christmas or any time.
