I Wish
Truth came from the perfect tree My Christmas wish is for truth to be revealed. If I could make a wish tonight and know it would come true I pondered all the things I'd love, to make all people do My wish would have the power, to make all people tell the truth No matter how darn bad it was, or even how uncouth. This truth would do away with courts where liars often win The Bible would be revealed as the source, where all real truth begins This wish I have to change the world, and reveal all sins and lies Every man would have to do his part, and be a stand up guy. Every child would have a Daddy, to love, provide and teach Every family, with a Mothers love, within a child's reach I know this wish, would show my sins, they all would be revealed But I have already had them forgiven, by a Savior, true and real This is the time to share the joy, of the birth of God with us Our maker and redeemer Our Majesty we trust The music added to this poem was added by my poetry friend Sandy.
