Heart Of The Matter

A Street With No Children

Photobucket

A street with no children,
To run and to play,
All is quiet,
In this town,
Could this be Christmas Day?

Where are all the children?
Excited and free,
Sharing the magic,
Found under their tree,

The weather is clement,
No rain and no snow,
No echo of laughter,
Tell me,
Where did they go?

The gardens are empty,
The children unseen,
Are they viewing our world?
Through a Playstation screen,

A virtual world,
A world that's unreal,
Will they learn how to speak?
Will they learn how to feel?

A street with no children,
To run and to play,
All quiet in this town,

Could this be Christmas Day?
