Heart Of The Matter

Ring In The New!

Photobucket

I will gather my friends,
At the castle of Kings,
Watch the bands,
Hear the pipers,
Fireworks and things,

I will welcome the New Year,
Its secrets untold,
And with love, light and laughter,
Look back on the old,

At midnight I'll wait,
My emotions intense,
Make a new resolution,
Not to sit on the fence,
Join hands with the crowd,
As we sing Auld Lang Syne,
And I'll wish,
 “Happy New Year”,
To yours,
And to mine.

I'm heading for Stirling,
This is my Hogmanay ….
I break old traditions,
Celebrate a new way,

With my circle of close friends,
Both steadfast and true,
I will ring out the old,
And ring in the new.
