Giving this New Year coming

Learning as we go forward again

Keeping safe and healthy
Retaining a positive mind~
As we all venture forward
Leaving yet another year behind~
Knowing who your friends were
And who they will be~
As we all walk ahead
Into a New Year's destiny~
Staying faithful and sure
Remaining whom you are~
And steadfast in values
Will take you far~
Regardless of the diversities
Along the way~
Being true thine own self
From day to day~
Keeping love in your heart
Not giving up on that dream~
Finding that one bridge
To cross trouble waters and stream~
Stopping to think some
And consider your way~
Walking the walk of life
Into yet another New Years Day~
Taking time out for yourself
More so than in the past~
Enjoying your talents
And the things you know will last~
Being happy in soul
