MISSING YOU STILL
I've missed those talks
The chats, the quips
The ponderous thoughts
As we nibbled on chips
Evenings of indulgence
A bottle of wine and more
Plans of life patterns
And what we hoped was in store
Adventures are dreams
That we make come to life
Stagnating in routine nightmares
The air could be cut with a knife
Whirlpools of glamour
We glimpsed as we peeped
Happy the laughter
We didn't inwardly keep
Oh I miss those talks
You a dancer, me a writer
Both rude then raucous
Often forgetting the politer
I'm pleased you are back
If only a short time
Call round and see me
I will buy some good wine
