~*~` STAR  GAZING`~*~

~*~`STAR  GAZING`~*~

~^~

As we look up into the sky at night,
Stars in the constellation are shinning bright;
On a dark night, 1000 or more stars may be seen,
Each illuminating the galaxy with it's brightest beam.

~^~

Lying within a few light years from us today,
The sun, the nearest star we see every day;
Warms the earth or sunbathers on the bay.
Giving light to earth from nine million miles away.

~^~

Eight point seven light years away up high,
We see Sirius, the brightest star in earth's night sky;
While the Milky Way, a big strip in the sky, that we see,
Is the light of many stars in our disk`shaped galaxy.

~^~

Patterns of the stars in our constellations, gives us insight,
To plant in Spring, harvest in Fall, when comes daylight;
Twinkling and flickering, by turbulence in the atmosphere,
Shinning stars in the galaxy is what we see from here.

~^~
