A small boy asked his mom and dad if they would buy him a bike.
He told them every detail about the one he would like.
‘It costs one hundred dollars” he added with his plea
I know it would be, the perfect bike for me.
His Daddy said that times were hard and although it might not seem fair
If he prayed to God for the bike, his best hope would be there.
The small boy prayed for many days and the bike did not appear
He wrote a letter addressed to God in case God did not hear.
The letter sent was stamped full price but no one at the post office knew
Where to send the letter to get his message through.
One bright man said I have an idea we will forward to President Bush
He will know what he should do to send it to God with a push.
As the president read the boys plea he smiled and said I'll help this Tyke
I'll send him a ten dollar bill to help him acquire at least a part of the bike
A couple weeks later a new letter came saying Thank You Dear God
for the money
I see by the post mark it came through DC and I'll tell you something
not funny
Those buggers took ninety percent for a tax like they do with everything else
I guess I'll just have to go get a job and earn the rest by myself.
