Poetry For Everyday People
Crumbled
Crumbled lives
eaten by time
and circumstance
crumbled memories
unfold in the dark
and we cringe
trying to crumble it
back
throw it
far
crumbled love
sitting idle
waiting for
release
crumbled dreams
stretching trying
to touch their
toes
crumbled thoughts
drained
stressed
trying to keep it
together
crumbled and tossed
aside as if
your heart
was hollow
crumbled faces
kissing needles
looking at old
pictures
crumbled
napkins
as the lonely
dig trash
unfolding
last night's numbers
crumbled
letter
goodbye.
eaten by time
and circumstance
crumbled memories
unfold in the dark
and we cringe
trying to crumble it
back
throw it
far
crumbled love
sitting idle
waiting for
release
crumbled dreams
stretching trying
to touch their
toes
crumbled thoughts
drained
stressed
trying to keep it
together
crumbled and tossed
aside as if
your heart

looking at old

crumbled

as the lonely
dig trash
unfolding
last night's numbers
crumbled
letter
goodbye.
