Microscopic Worlds BelowMicroscopic worlds below Way below the grass and flowers small~ Under carpets low and thick Where leaves and petals fall~ Tiniest ants ans spider life We small entities~ Living in a world of theirs own Where seldom blows a breeze~ Life that to us is unseen Smaller than smaller are they~ Still all Gods creatures every one In their world where they live, work and play~ They must have rules and laws to keep In order to survive~ Each one showing the other due respect Below where they exist and thrive~ Going through their every day Sometimes right under our feet~ In a world we don't seldom see Ever so to us discrete~ I often wonder as I sit and write Within a park or country wood~ What goes on so far below A world not all that understood~ Away below where the grasses grow And growth has formed the carpets there~ All within a world of their own A world to them beyond compare~ Terrence Michael Sutton copyright 2008 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
