R.I.P
Written at 16 years old Daddy told me What his certificate was for I was so happy He told me about 36 years of valuable work With Sheffield Steel Works He told me when i was 6 I wrote about it then, but again now I have more knowledge I can say it means so much to me That he built up Britain as well as So many other people who deserve to be thanked Remembered years Later As God is pleased with all they have Done So we should be Grateful So many people willed to Build Britain Who left their families and felt severely homesick They didn't know English and didn't know the rules They still came to do jobs people were not willing to do So brave and so full of courage Their families were poor for weeks until they got paid to feed them You should be Grateful how Britain was built with people like these People who let them go to help this country I studied all about this and researched and i was pleased to know what they did for Britain To find how many people hate these people They mention casts and i mention how my father and his friends built Britain How much work they had done My father's certificate still stands here today from 1956 until 1992 he received a certificate Of 36 years of valuable work with Sheffield steel work in the factories His friends and so many others are honored not just by me and so many other people MOSTLY BY THEIR LORD WHO LOVES THOSE WHO SWEAT TO EARN A LIVING Vote for this poem
